How to Eat Healthy on a Budget

Dr. Meghan BirtJust how do you eat healthy on a budget? It seems like something we should be doing, but how do we achieve it?

Everywhere you go people are telling you that unless you eat organically, you are eating all the wrong things. It’s true that eating healthy might cost a bit more, but as Dr. Meghan Brit explains in this podcast episode, it’s all about knowing where to splurge and where to save.

Dr. Birt, who is a chiropractor and a nutritionist, says she follows the Dirty 7 and the Clean 15 as her rules for when to splurge and when to save when shopping. Did you know that foods like apples and peaches are some of the most contaminated foods? Think about that next time you pick up an apple as a snack. Knowledge is power, and certainly knowing what to spend your money on at the grocery store is vital to your budget’s health.
